About

The music is about the people in the room.

From a hushed chuppah to a dance floor that won't sit down — music with neshama, from a singer who is listening to the room.

I'm Avi Lampert — a singer and guitarist in Cleveland, Ohio. Weddings, kumzitzin, private events, gatherings of every size — the through-line never changes: the music is about the people in the room.

The grandfather who suddenly knows every word, the chosson who's nervous, the table ready to stand and sing — that's who I'm playing for.

My style comes from the music I grew up on — Yiddish warmth, niggunim with depth, songs that mean something. At a kumzitz, that means patience: letting a song breathe, letting a room come together.

At a wedding, the same instincts turn up the energy. A dance floor isn't about volume — it's about timing. Geshmak and real, from the first dance to the last.

I also sing with the Cle Zemer choir and record studio lead vocals and choirs. My single, "Menucha V'Simcha," is out now on all major streaming platforms.

Two Sides

From soulful kumzitzin to a dance floor that soars

Some nights call for a guitar and songs that open people up. Others call for a full room on its feet. Avi does both — and knows which room he's in.

Warm Side

Kumzitzin & Gatherings

Acoustic guitar, songs with heart, and the patience to let a moment build. Background when the room wants background — upfront when it's ready to sing.

Dance Floor

Weddings

Geshmak, authentic, alive — never hype for hype's sake. Avi reads the crowd moment to moment, so the floor feels like a simcha. Because it is one.
